On May 31, 2019, the School of Finance and Economics and the Statistical Science Research Base of Jiangsu Province successfully held a lecture on "Research on the Model and Mechanism of Haze Control in China under the New Normal Conditions" in 1519 Sanjiang Building. Professor Xu Yingzhi of Southeast University was invited to be the guest speaker in this lecture. The lecture was attended by faculty and students from the School of Finance and Economics and the School of Management. The lecture was hosted by Professor Wu Mengyun, Secretary of the Party Committee of School of Finance and Economics, Jiangsu University. Professor Zhao Xicang, head of Jiangsu Statistical Science Research Base and head of Jiangsu University, participated in the relevant discussions.

Professor Xu Yingzhi's lecture focused on the key national social science project "Research on the mode and mechanism of haze prevention and control in China under the new normal" she completed. She systematically introduced the main research results of the project. Specific contents include: with the help of Taylor index calculation and its decomposition method and convergence analysis method in economic growth, the regional differences and convergence of haze pollution intensity in China are studied; from four perspectives of society, government, system and economy, the effects of urbanization, environmental regulation, factor market distortion, industrial synergistic agglomeration and trade opening on haze pollution control in China are discussed. Research; Discussed the effect of pollution source control mode and cross-regional joint prevention and control mode on haze prevention and control in China; Started from coordination mechanism, supervision mechanism, safeguard mechanism and cooperation mechanism, designed a three-dimensional and comprehensive mechanism for haze pollution prevention and control, and fully drew lessons from the successful experience of typical regions at home and abroad, put forward a new normal situation from various levels.
