On May 8, the national first-class professional construction expert consultation meeting on the international economy and trade of Jiangsu University was successfully held in the conference room on the first floor of the library. Professor Zhao Chunming of Beijing Normal University was invited to attend the meeting. The consultation meeting was presided over by Professor Hu Xuhua, President of the Institute of industrial economics and head of international economy and trade.

Professor Zhao Chunming fully affirmed the development of the college and congratulated the international economy and trade major on being approved as a national first-class professional construction site. He pointed out that the college should "seize the important development opportunity of the approval of national first-class majors," make breakthroughs in national first-class curriculum construction, curriculum ideological and political construction, excellent textbook publishing, as well as to ensure that the project passes the assessment and acceptance after three years. Professor Zhao also stressed that specialty construction should pay attention to differentiation and promote high-level specialty construction combined with regional characteristics. Other participating experts also suggested the next step of national first-class professional construction.
