On May 18, Professor Lv Yue, doctoral supervisor of the School of International Economics and Trade of the University of International Business and Economics, was invited to hold an academic lecture entitled "breaking the 'product lock' of Chinese enterprises under the global value chain: Empirical Evidence from the perspective of product diversity" in the 1301 lecture Hall of the School of Finance and Economics. Professor Wu Mengyun, Dean of the School of Finance and Economics of Jiangsu University, presided over the lecture. More than 100 teachers and students from the School of Finance and Economics and the School of Management attended the lecture.

Professor Lv Yue is an expert in the field of the global value chain, and she shared her research results during the lecture. Using highly detailed micro-enterprise data such as China industrial enterprise, customs, and product output data, she scientifically calculated relevant indicators such as global value chain embedding and constructed a measurement model based on microenterprise data. She also systematically studied how Chinese manufacturing enterprises can be embedded in the global value chain affecting product diversity.
